Jedi Jack

Had a great day at Jack's party yesterday...sunshine,happy kids,party food and great company. What more could you ask for. The theme of the party was Star Wars and one of the highlights of the day was the "Death Star" pinata. The kids got some great hits in ~ I must admit, I stayed on the other side and out of the range of fire. When all the kids had gathered up the lollies, a few of the boys were excitedly chanting " We defeated the Death Star". Towards the end of the party, the cutest cleaning crew turned up for duty ~ the feathered and furry variety. 

Fun Easter Holiday Activities....So Far

We are looking forward to celebrating Easter with family and friends, on 4 gorgeous acres, complete with an "Enchanted Forest". The Easter Bunny usually leaves yummy choccy eggs hidden here, and it is wonderful to watch the children excitedly  searching for the eggs,  amongst the soft pine needles on the ground, tucked into low tree branches, and anywhere else that will catch their eye.

I have had so much  fun these school holidays, so far, making and creating all sorts of wonderful things with my son. I'm very lucky that he loves to sit and create with me, and we have great in-depth conversations, all the while encouraging each other about how lovely everything is looking.

These are the sugar cookies we made this week. We have a big day of baking coming up this Saturday, as we have decided to give Easter cookies to our family instead of chocolate. We always have too much chocolate ( is there such a thing ?!?! ) this time of year, and thought some home-made cookies would be appreciated ~ and with Ethan's gorgeous decorating skills, I'm sure everyone will be happy to receive them !

This is the first time we've decorated fresh eggs ( courtesy of our pet chooks), and I love that we got the colours to look so vibrant. Will definately be making these again for Easter !

And last but not least..... our bunny family~

Skye's world is all about things that make me smile...... my family and friends, my pets, scrapbooking, designing parties, cooking and so much more !!!! There are so many things in the world that make me smile, and I try not to think about things that take my smile away.

I'm very excited about these school holidays.... my little boy started kindergarten this year, and as much as I've enjoyed watching him go off to school each morning, I'm so happy that I'll have him home with me for the next few weeks !! I'm looking forward to baking Easter Egg cookies with him and letting him decorate them for family. I have lots of ideas for Easter crafts that my head is spinning !! I hope he will enjoy doing these as much as I will. If all goes according to plan, I will post some pictures here.
